Kristen Greco’s Journey: Empowering New Moms with Beaver Valley LaunchBox and B-HIVE

Kristen Greco, a registered nurse and mother of two, had a vision to establish a business supporting new mothers and fostering community, but she lacked resources or prior business experience.

She sought help to launch her venture and create a business strategy to reach a wider audience, aiming to empower new moms through her services.

Kristen was directed to Beaver Valley LaunchBox, and her entrepreneurial journey began from there.

She visited the team and mentors during their weekly open house and started working on her dream to start the business with the support of her friends, family, Beaver Valley LaunchBox support team and the B-Hive, the Beaver Valley Hub for Innovation, Venture and Entrepreneurship, in Beaver Falls.

LaunchBox, in partnership with the B-HIVE, assisted her with the initial stages, which included booking an attorney for LLC registration and setting up a Google number, to start her business. Also, LaunchBox provided tailored assistance including poster and graphic designs and refining her website and social media content to shape her business vision and refine her elevator pitch.

With resources and support, Nurtured Moms officially launched on April 15, 2024. The business offers essential support for new mothers through postpartum doula and lactation counselor services, empowering them to navigate early motherhood confidently.

Kristen also has created a free support group for new moms in her community and is on the path to helping many new moms.

“The team of advisors and mentors at Beaver Valley LaunchBox and B-HIVE were incredibly supportive and accessible throughout my journey of starting my business,” Kristen said. “I was introduced to local resources that helped me with every step of the process. The one-on-one meetings with the LaunchBox team were invaluable in developing my elevator pitch and networking with the community. They also assisted with my website content, posters, graphics and other social media setups.”

Kristen also was featured as one of the Queen B panelists in a Beaver Valley LaunchBox Women Entrepreneurship event at the B-HIVE where she shared her story with the community.
